We spent some time at Glacier National Park in Northern Montana.
We drove Going-to-the-Sun Road, cutting through the middle of the park from West Glacier to St. Mary on the East side. It’s a narrow, winding road through the mountains with jagged rock walls, waterfalls just outside the window and amazing views.
Along the way, we stopped for a hike to Hidden Lake, and I got to splash some glacier water on my face in a stream. We saw a lot of mountain goats, but no bears.
There are signs everywhere warning that this is Grizzly Country. This place is massive, beautiful and wild.
